Wild Dunes® Resort today announced the appointment of Jeff Minton as Director of Golf effective immediately. Minton has more than 20 years experience, including the renowned Pinehurst Resort and Club, The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, and the Golf Club at Newcastle – a “must-play” facility in the Northwest. Minton most recently served as Director of Golf at the historic La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Minton has more than 20 years experience, including the renowned Pinehurst Resort and Club, The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, and the Golf Club at Newcastle – a “must-play” facility in the Northwest. Minton most recently served as Director of Golf at the historic La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
In his new role, Minton will oversee all aspects of the Wild Dunes Resort’s award-winning golf program including member and customer satisfaction, course integrity, and employee relations.
“The results that Jeff has achieved at the other locations he’s worked with have been tremendous,” said Wild Dunes Resort Vice President and Managing Director, Terri Haack. “He has a proven track record for providing quality golf experiences at resorts and private clubs nationwide. I believe he is the perfect person to manage our club operations and resort guests’ experiences. Jeff will no doubt take Wild Dunes’ golf to new heights.”
Throughout his career, Minton has earned Golf Magazine’s 4 1/2 star rating 2003 -2004, Best of Golf, Top Resort Links Magazine 2004, Golf Digest's Top 50 Golf Resorts 2004,2005, Golf Magazine’s prestigious Gold Medal and “Top 100 Golf Shops” awards.
While at La Costa Resort and Spa, he was instrumental in the development of the $140 million renovation as well as the PGA Tour’s World Golf Championships Match Play Championship 2002-2005. As Director of Golf Operations at the Golf Club at
Newcastle - a groundbreaking club in Seattle, Washington - Minton assisted in the development and opening of two 18-hole championship golf courses along with its state-of-the-art practice and instructional facility.
